This framed limited edition 16×20 giclee is entitled “Groundhog’s Day.” This image is taken from “One Meat Brawl” released in 1947 and directed by Robert McKimson. It is Groundhog Day so, naturally, Porky Pig goes hunting groundhogs and takes his dopey dog, Mandrake. They soon encounter Grover Groundhog, who is none too thrilled to be the objective of a hunter on his big day. Mandrake is good at what he does but Mandrake is also a sucker for a sob story and Grover outwits him at every turn. Edition Size 500.
“Giclée,” as a fine art term, has come to be associated with prints using fade-resistant “archival” inks (including solvent inks) and the inkjet printers that use them.
